2018 World Cup stadium in Nizhny Novgorod will have 4,000 parking spaces

An already existing parking lot will be repurposed specifically for fans and staff during the 2018 World Cup.

Two large parking lots will be built next to the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in addition to an already existing parking lots belonging to local malls, all of which will be exclusively used by fans and FIFA client groups during the FIFA 2018 World Cup Russia™, according to the head of the Nizhny Novgorod municipal department Dmitry Brylin.

"Two municipal parking lots will be built for the 2018 World Cup, with just one, for example, fitting 4,000 parking spaces. Both lots will be built in the Kanavinskiy district near the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium with one close to the Volzhskiy Bridge," Brylin said.

According to the official, parking lots which belong to malls and are close to the stadium will be repurposed for the championship as well. They will be used by fans and FIFA client groups. Special shuttles and other types of transport will be waiting there to take them to the stadium, to the fan zone on the Minina and Pozharskogo Square and to their places of residence.
