Around 750 thousand tourists visited Moscow during the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the head of the Department of Sport and Tourism of Moscow Nikolay Gulyaev. 560 thousand of them are Russians.
According to the official, the capital completely covered the guest requirements for hotels of different categories. "The work on the classification of hotels continues. At the moment there are 1,086 of them with a total capacity of more than 120 thousand rooms," he added.
Nikolay Gulyaev also reported that four Confederations Cup 2017 matches that Spartak Stadium hosted were attended by 150 thousand of people, the average arena occupancy during the tournament was 89%.
