Alfa Bank became the first Regional Supporter for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The signing ceremony took place in Moscow, it was attended by FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABH Holdings S.A., Member of the Board of Directors of Alfa-Bank in Russia Petr Aven, Director of FIFA Marketing Division Thierry Weil, Alfa Bank CEO Alexey Marey, Chairman of Alfa Bank Executive Board Andrei Sokolov, CEO of the Local Organizing Committee "Russia-2018" Alexey Sorokin, Presidential Aide Igor Levitin.
Alfa Bank will have the exclusive right to offer banking services to the fans during the World Cup and the Confederations Cup. The Bank's experts are now developing football themed products for its existing and potential customers. Alfa Bank will also support FIFA on a number of ticketing-related projects with the aim of enhancing services to fans.

FIFA’s commercial strategy might include up to four Regional Supporters for each of the five global regions: Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East and Africa as well as Asia. All Regional Supporters receive the key benefits of all sponsors, including LED board exposure during the events, access to tickets and brand association rights for their respective region.
