The ethno-pop group Buranovskiye Babushki premiered their new song, dedicated to the FIFA 2018 World Cup Russia™, opening for a seventh leg match of the Russian national championship between Samara’s Krylya Sovietov and Moscow’s CSKA at the Metallurg Stadium in Samara.

The Eurovision 2012 second place winners sang their new song Ole-Ola, as well as their hit called Party for Everybody thirty minutes before the match.

This is not the first football themed performance for the band, which hails from the village of Buranovo in Udmurtia. Last June in Kuibyshev Square, Samara, the grannies recorded a video address to the Russia national squad, which was then about to join in the fray at the Euro in France. Buranovskiye Babushki walked out on the pitch, played their Party for Everybody for the camera, and wished the Russia squad good luck.
