Costume exhibition from Gorky Film Studio collection opens in Moscow

The costume exhibition “Period costumes in film” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Gorky Film Studio opens in GUM department store in Moscow.

"The visitors will be able to see rarities such as the bridal costume of Eudoxia Lopukhina from the film “The Youth of Peter the Great” made from patterned velvet brocade. Gilt uniform worn by Aleksandr Vertinskiy in “The Anna Cross”. The exposition will also have the costume made for the actress Nastassja Kinski, who played a major role in the film “Humiliated and Insulted”,” the film studio press service said.

The exhibition will present about 100 pieces of clothing and accessories that were used at different times. The Studio assembled the collection, which includes a things specially created for films objects as well as antiques and rare costumes, over many years.
