Design plan of Samara for 2018 World Cup to be adopted before 2015 end

Design plan of the host city for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Samara will be adopted before the end of 2015, Samara city administration press service told Welcome2018.com. First deputy head of the city of Samara Viktor Kudryashov explained that it was planned to install about 25 constructions that will hold banners of the information campaign to promote the World Cup in Samara.

"Constructions will be in the municipal property, which will save money in placing the information about the World Cup,” Kudryashov said. “After the tournament ends it will be used for social advertising. The city design plan will also include a variety of small architectural forms."

The objects will be placed on the streets, along the quay, parks and squares. In addition, buses, trams and subway will also be decorated with the symbols of the World Cup.

In decorating the city the organizers will take into account the provisions on intellectual property rights of FIFA and partners. Particular attention will be paid to the correct use of the names and symbols of the World Cup. In 2018 Samara will host six World Cup matches. Four meetings of the group stage (June 17, 21, 25 and 28), one 1/8 match (July 2) and one quarter-final match (July 7). New football stadium will be built for the tournament with 45,000 seats. During the 2018 World Cup it will be called "Samara arena", after – “Cosmos arena”.
