Confederations Cup 2017 opening ceremony

Music from the ballet "Firebird" by Igor Stravinsky will be the leitmotif of the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 opening ceremony, which will be held on June 17 at the Saint Petersburg Stadium The event will start at 4 p.m. and will last for 20 minutes. The plot of the ceremony will tell the audience about the traditions, history, culture and nature of Russia, as well as the host cities of the tournament - Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi and Moscow. Russian stars Alsou, Sergey Lazarev and DJ Smash will perform at the ceremony.

Festival "Imperial Gardens of Russia" in the Mikhailovsky Garden

All the guests of Saint Petersburg are invited to the Mikhailovsky Garden, to appraise landscape compositions, garden installations and art objects made of plants. Inspiration for this year's work was the paintings of Kazimir Malevich, Vasily Kandinsky, Vladimir Tatlin, Pavel Filonov, Ivan Puni, Nathan Altman, Mikhail Larionov, Natalia Goncharova.
