Gianni Infantino: I want to tell the world only one thing: come to Russia!

FIFA President Gianni Infantino in his welcoming speech before the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 opening match noted the fantastic work of the organizers and called on fans of the world to visit Russia.

"Dear friends, welcome," the FIFA head began in Russian, and then switched to English. "Welcome to the Confederations Cup in Russia. first of all I want to thank Russia for the fantastic work. I want to say to the fans all over the world one thing - come to Russia and you will see the highest level of football."

At the end of his speech Infantino switch to Russian again. "Thank you, Kazan! Thank you, Sochi! Thank you, Moscow! Thank you, Saint Petersburg! Thank you, Russia," he said.

National team of the host country, Russia, and Oceania champion New Zealand play in the opening match of the Confederations Cup.

 The Tournament of Champions will last until July 2. Group A consists of Russia, New Zealand, Portugal and Mexico. Group B consists of Germany, Chile, Australia and Cameroon. The teams in first and second places in groups will continue to the semifinals.
