Ekaterinburg Stadium reconstruction to cost 12.5 billion rubles

12.5 billion rubles were allocated for the reconstruction of the Ekaterinburg Central Stadium, according to a decree issued by the Government of the Russian Federation, published on the legal information website. The stadium will host several games of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ group stage.

5.1 billion will be allocated in 2015; 5.87 billion in 2016 and 1.49 in 2017. The Central Stadium reconstruction is already underway, finishing work will soon commence.

World Cup 2018 games will be hosted in 11 cities of Russia from 14 June to 15 July: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Ekaterinburg, Samara, Sochi and Rostov-on-Don. Six games of the tournament will be held in Kazan: four group stage matches, one 1/8 match and one quarterfinal game.
