The ticket prices for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2018 FIFA World Cup were announced in Moscow after a Local Organizing Committee (LOC) “Russia-2018” board meeting with FIFA participation. A special category has been reserved for residents of the host country, as for the South Africa and Brazil FIFA World Cups held in 2010 and 2014, according to the FIFA press service.
Tickets for both events will be available for purchase exclusively on FIFA.com.
The 2017 Confederations Cup
Ticket prices for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup matches for Russian citizens will start at 960 rubles, minimum ticket price for foreign visitors totals $70.
Tickets for the tournament’s matches are divided into three price categories: the first category includes seats on the central stands, the second - on the edges of the central stands and the stands behind the goal, and the third (the cheapest) – seats behind the goal.
The semi-finals tickets will cost 2,240 rubles for Russian citizens, 960 rubles for the 3rd/4th place match and 2,560 rubles for the final match of the 2017 Confederations Cup.
The cheapest tickets for foreign guests will be sold for group stage matches (from $70 to $135), except for the opening match (from $85 to $170, 2,240 rubles for Russians). Prices of tickets for the semi-finals vary from $85 to $160. The ticket for the 3rd/4th place match will cost $70-135, the final match – from $115 to $245.
Ticket sales for the FIFA Confederations Cup matches will begin with VISA customers - exclusive pre-sales will be held on November 8-17, 2016. The first sales phase will then start on December 1, five days after the Official Draw in Kazan.
Fans wishing to attend the matches of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup will be able to buy not only individual match tickets, but also ticket series for a specific host city, as well as team-specific ticket series.
The 2018 World Cup
As for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, tickets for domestic residents will start at 1,280 rubles, $105 for foreign fans, according to the FIFA press service.
The tickets for the World Cup matches are divided into four price categories, one of which is reserved specifically for Russian citizens.
The minimum ticket price for the opening match of the World Cup with participation of the Russian national team stands at 3,200 rubles. The final match tickets will cost 7,040 rubles for the Russian fans.
The maximum ticket price for the opening match totals $550, $1,100for the final match.
Ticket sales for the 2018 FIFA World Cup will begin only after the end of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
The 2017 Confederations Cup matches will be held from June 17 to July 2, 2017, in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi.
The matches of the 2018 World Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018, at 12 stadiums in 11 cities of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Saransk, Ekaterinburg and Sochi.
