First luxury sky box installed at Luzhniki Stadium

During the reconstruction 81,000 seats will be distributed in two tiers, separated by a belt of 100 sky boxes

The first of 100 sky boxes (superior lodge) mounted in the stands of the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow, according to the website of the Moscow Department of Construction.

"At the moment, decoration works at the stadium are in progress, and the first sky box is ready. During the reconstruction, the arena geometry will change significantly - 81,000 seats will be distributed in two tiers, separated by a belt of 100 sky boxes,” construction workers said.

"The reconstruction of the Luzhniki sports complex implies a significant modernization of engineering networks and communications. The project includes the renovation of almost 16 km of electricity grids and communication networks and about 24 km of utilities. Relaying engineering networks at the stadium was completed in December 2015, the works are currently in progress on the territory of the complex," the statement said,

The reconstruction of the Luzhniki stadium, open in 1956, is held in preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The number of seats will be increased from 78,000 to 81,000, geometry of the stands will be changed, and the number of entrances will be increased from 13 to 23.
