First Tourist Information Center in Rostov-on-Don will be based in the congress hotel "Don Plaza". The center will open its doors in October of this year, the press service of the city administration told Welcome2018.com.
Guests of the city will be able to get information about attractions, catering establishments, public transport hours and get a free map of the city.
"The ideal situation is when people come to our city with work-related goals, and finds such a variety of leisure options that they want to come back here again even for holidays, to show the city to their families," "Don Plaza" hotel vice-president Andrey Demishin said.
The work on the city’s tourist brand is currently in progress. The brand should visually reflect all attractive sides of the city. The brand is particularly important in relation to the approaching 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
"A successful brand is a strong factor that influences the development of social, cultural and economic processes,” Managing Director of “Brand House” Alexey Gvintovkin said. “Rostov will become a host city for hundreds pf tourists from Russia and foreign countries during the World Cup. Therefore, creating and developing tourist brand is an important element of the city's preparation for such a significant event," he added.
