Grotesque Football and Eternity exhibit travels to Washington

Russian painters Vladimir and Victoria Kirilenko opened their exhibit called Football and Eternity in Washington DC. The paintings are dedicated to the FIFA 2018 World Cup Russia™.

The two painters are from Sochi and are touring the world with their exposition which is dedicated to the championship. In the past five years their project took them to over 40 cities all over the globe: from Madrid and to Vladivostok, from Rome and to Arkhangelsk, from Athens and to Moscow. Today, the exposition which consists of 30 grotesque paintings is being exhibited in the Russian Cultural Centre in the United States (Washington).

FIFA TV released a movie about the project. The painters also won the UNESCO award while in Athens.

The Football and Eternity project includes holding an author’s exhibition and a signing of one of the paintings by a prominent person in each city. The project was already joined by Denis Matsuev, Vladimir Kuzmin, Leo Bokeria etc. Just before his 90th birthday, one of the paintings was signed by a famous footballer, Nikita Simonyan.

The works of Viktoria and Vladimir Kirilenko can also be viewd at the International Airport in Sochi, where another exhibition consisting of 25 paintings is on display.
