Guide training for 2018 World Cup begins in Volgograd

The project features a cycle of free courses for beginners and working guides and will be held on a monthly basis, press service of the Governor of the Volgograd region told Welcome2018.com. The first seminar will be held on June 17.

The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of service and tourist appeal of the Volgograd region. According to the Governor’s press-service, this project is an important step in preparation of the region for the matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Volgograd will receive a lot of guests – well-trained guides will help them learn the history and the culture of the city and the region.

Anyone can participate in the project. For some workshops will become their first steps in the field, working guides will be able to improve their skills. Learned skills will be tested in the course of practical training tours. Classes will be held by experienced guides, experts in intercultural and verbal communication, psychologists. Workshops’ topics are varied and designed for different target groups.
