International Volunteer Day to be celebrated on the largest ice skating rink in Europe

On Monday, December 5, International Volunteer Day celebrations will take place on the VDHKh ice skating rink. Activists from the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ and the FIFA Confederations CUP Russia 2017 volunteer centres will take part in the festivities.

According to the Russia-2018 Organising Committee’s press service, Deputy Prime Minster Vitaly Mutko and Organising Committee’s General Director Alexei Sorokin (participation not yet confirmed)will be honorary guests at Europe’s largest ice skating rink.

The festivities will begin at 05:00 pm Moscow time.

Guest will be treated with a bright festive programme, which will be presented by TV hosts Yana Churikova, Vladimir Stognienko, Maria Komandnaya and Pavel Zanozin.

Uma2rman, an alternative rock band, will conclude the event. Brothers Vladimir and Sergei Kristovskii, the band’s leaders, are both Nizhny Novgorod’s World Cup 2018 Ambassadors.
