Visitors of Kazan during World Cup 2018 will be offered tours in eight languages. Sergei Ivanov, chairman of the Tatarstan republic state tourism committee, told Welcome2018: “We made our decision regarding offering tours having eight most popular languages in mind. Of course, we may expand this list ahead of the World Cup. We will be able to consider this when we know what national teams will play in Kazan”.

Over 14,000 hotel rooms will be made available for visitors to Kazan before the World Cup. Ivanov noted: “Hotel industry is well developed here in Kazan. Recently we host the Universiade and the World Aquatics Championships. Currently there is a total of 10,000 hotel rooms available; in two years this figure will increase to 11,500. Moreover, various mini hotels and hotels are currently under construction. The total number of available rooms by the time World Cup 2018 kicks off will exceed 14,000”.
