Harry Kewell to open Confederations Cup Park in Sochi

The park will entertain residents and visitors of the city on May 6-7

Renowned Australian footballer, vice-champion of the FIFA Confederations Cup 1997 and winner of the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool, Harry Kewell will open the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 Park in Sochi. The park will operate on May 6-7 at the southern pier of Sochi Seaport.

Visitors of the park (entrance and entertainment will be free) will enjoy a bright and varied entertainment program: meetings with football stars, interesting competitions, football amusements and multimedia quizzes with prizes, including tickets for the Confederations Cup matches in Sochi.

In addition to Kewell, guests of the park will be able to see former players of the Russia national team Aleksandr Mostovoy and Dmitry Bulykin.

Of course, there will be an official 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ mascot, the wolf named Zabivaka™. Everyone will have an opportunity to learn how to buy tickets for the tournament matches via FIFA.com/ticketing - Confederations Cup volunteers will help with it.

Park opening hours

First day

12:00 – Park Opening ceremony involving the Head of Sochi Anatoly Pakhomov and his deputy Sergey Yurchenko, legend of FIFA football Harry Kewell, Russian football stars Aleksandr Mostovoy and Dmitry Bulykin, as well as media representatives.

13:00-20:00 - Presentation of the FIFA Confederations Cup Trophy in the covered tent, work of football amusements, communication and photos with Zabivaka™, football stars, multimedia quizzes and competitions involving special guests of the park. Drawing souvenirs with the symbols of the FIFA Confederations Cup and a super prize - free tickets for the Confederations Cup matches (every two hours).


Second day

12:00-18:00 - Adhering to Saturday schedule, except for the Opening ceremony.
