Not only physical, but also psychological component is very important in coaching. A good atmosphere within the team is the key to success. You can band together in different ways, for example, behind a chessboard.

Legendary Spartak coach Oleg Romantsev closed the team on the base a few days before the match. And they spent most of their free time just playing chess. The mentor encouraged this intellectual game and often participated in battles himself.

In the photo of 1992, Romantsev plays with striker Dmitry Radchenko. That year, the Red-Whites made a "golden double": they became the first champions of Russia and won the CIS Cup - that's how the Cup tournament of the former USSR was called in 1992.
