2018 World Cup International Broadcast Center to begin operation December 1, 2017

2018 World Cup International Broadcast Center will start its work December 1, 2017 according to the Information Technology and Infrastructure Department Director of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Pavel Pogrebinsky at the "ICT Infrastructure for 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia™" forum.

"In June 2017 the design of the International Broadcast Center will be completed, it will operate during the World Cup and be located at Crocus Expo," Pogrebinsky said. "The completion of all telecommunication infrastructure for all FIFA World Cup stadiums on time is beyond doubt. During the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup the chief operating center will be located in Saint Petersburg."

Pogrebinsky also commented on the quality of services during the recent friendly between Russia and Belgium in Sochi. "In the context of service, which we have provided for the Belgium and Russia teams at the Fisht Stadium, I can say that it was very good," he said.
