More than 27,000 seats installed at Luzhniki Stadium

Over 27,000 seats have been installed at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium, which will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ matches, according to the press service of the city’s Department of Construction

All seats are planned to be installed by February 2017. Muscovites chose the color of the seats by voting on the “Active citizen” website. The city residents chose a marron palette.

Currently, workers are installing engineering systems, doing finishing works, installing low current systems and equipment. They also began installing elevator equipment. Works on architectural lighting and a huge multifunctional screen installed into the roof of Luzhniki Stadium are also to be complete in 2017.

The bulk of construction works are planned to be over before the end of 2016. In 2018, this stadium will host the opening match, semi-finals and the final of the World Cup.
