Moscow metro unveils special Confederations Cup train

The train will be running on the metro’s circle line

The Moscow Metro Krasnaya Presnya depot hosted a launching ceremony for the new train dedicated to the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. Each carriage is decorated in the tournament’s signature style and familiarizes passengers with the Confederations Cup Host Cities.

Alexei Sorokin,General Director of the Local Organising Committee Russia 2018, Moscow Metro head Dmitry Pegov, FC Spartak captain and Russia national team player Denis Glushakov and 2018 World Cup Ambassador Yana Churikova all took part in the ceremony.

"Today we are launching a branded metro train," Alexei Sorokin said. "This is part of the tournament’s big promotional campaign conducted by the Organising Committee. The Confederations Cup is a great tournament which will take place next summer. This is a test for us. I’d like to think that this is the train, which fans will use to reach the Cup’s matches for free."
