The main project of the 6th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, bringing together more than 70 artists from different countries, opens in the “Tsentralny” pavilion at VDNKh.

As was reported earlier, in 2015 Moscow Biennale is going to be held in a new format. Its first part will be devoted to meetings, discussions and creating the works of art, and the second will present all this in the form of exhibition.

"More than 70 Russian and foreign artists, critics and scholars will meet in Moscow to try to bring together contemporary art and the public perception of it by creating a system where the art and the audience will interact directly," the Biennale press service said.

A ten-day forum is going to be the main program of the 6th Moscow Biennale, which will be attended by architect Rem Koolhaas, sociologist Saskia Sassen, political scientist Ulrike Guerot, economist Eugene Gontmaher.

Artists such as Fabrice Hyber, Sergey Bratkov, Luc Tuymans, Konstantin Zvezdochetov and other artists will create works of art directly on the Biennale site.

In addition to the main project, which will feature exhibition “Pavilion Caucasus”, the structure of the Biennale includes programs “Special Guests”, “Special Projects” and “Parallel program”. Several exhibitions will open in Moscow on the occasion of the Biennale, including Louise Bourgeois’ exhibition “Structures of Existence: The Cells” in the Garage Museum of contemporary art, and Anish Kapoor exhibition at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center.
