Moscow region authorities plan to create mobile camping for guests of 2018 World Cup

Special areas for the fans of the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be created in the Moscow region, the Moscow Region Minister of Sports Roman Teryushkov told Welcome2018.com.

"We understand that top-level teams aspire to good results will come to bases in the Moscow region. The fans will follow. Of course we really want to create activity zones, fan-zones. We will see how we are going to arrange that."

12 training bases for the teams participating in the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be located in the Moscow region.

The Minister also said that the possibility of creating mobile camps is being reviewed. "Perhaps we will follow the example of Rio de Janeiro – with the camping sites organized during the 2014 World Cup, where you could easily come and settle for a small fee,” Teryushkov said. “Of course, these areas will have big screens for watching games; we will provide all the necessary details. The Moscow region will become a large center for accommodation of the guests of World Cup, and we will create all the necessary conditions."

Teryushkov said that the information website for the guests of the World Cup. "In 2016 we will start developing packages for fans,” he said. “We have already created a special information portal that will be filled with information for guests of the World Cup. There you can find a place to live, eat, exercise, and so on," he added.
