27 thousand foreigners use FAN ID

The FAN ID, which is necessary for passage to the stadium for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 matches, was used by 27 thousand foreign spectators. This was stated by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee Russia 2018, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko.

"We thoroughly tested our services," Mutko said, "The FAN ID system proved to be quite good: 27,000 foreigners used it, which is not only a visa, but also a free ride. We also organized Wi-Fi at the stadiums. Up to 10,000 fans used it at every match, people sent selfies."

To get to the Confederations Cup match, you need to register and get a FAN ID. To do this, you need to fill out a questionnaire with passport data, attach a photo at fan-id.ru and get a FAN ID by mail or at the issuing center in one of the cities of the Confederations Cup. Together with the ticket FAN ID gives the right to attend the game, as well as to travel for free to the venue of the match on special trains that run between the host cities of the tournament, and in the public transport of the city of the purchased ticket match.

The Confederations Cup will end on July 2.
