First match at Ekaterinburg Arena to be held on April 1

Ural and Rubin will meet

The first match at Ekaterinburg Arena of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ will be held on April 1. It will be the match of the 24th round of the Russian Football Premier League, the local Ural FC will play Kazan Rubin. This was reported by the Ekaterinburg administration media service.

On December 29, 2017 Ekaterinburg Arena, designed for 35 thousand seats, received a positive conclusion on compliance from Rostekhnadzor.

Test matches ahead of the World Cup will also be held on April 15 and May 6 at the arena. On April 15 Ural and Moscow Spartak will play in the 26th round of the Premier League, on May 6 the meeting will be held between Ural and Perm Amkar (29th round).

The World Cup matches will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018 in 11 cities of Russia. In Ekaterinburg on June 15 Egypt will play Uruguay, June 21 - France and Peru, June 24 - Japan and Senegal, June 27 - Mexico and Sweden.
