The opening of the first official store with the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ merchandise took place in Moscow. The store opened on the first floor of the Central Children's Store on Lubyanka. The opening ceremony was attended by CEO of the Russia 2018 LOC Aleksey Sorokin, Head of the Brand Management and FIFA Licensing Department Ana Brito, as well as the 2018 World Cup ambassador of Samara host city Yevgeny Savin.

"We are very pleased to open a store in a beautiful shopping centre for children. In the near future we will open a store in Saint Petersburg, and all host cities. The selection here is large, so that all guests will be able to purchase World Cup merchandise. The World Cup is approaching, and it is a great and notable milestone," said Aleksey Sorokin.

"The store's location was chosen in the course of negotiations not by chance, but because we needed a platform in the city centre. The Central Children's Store suited us exactly, because our products are targeted, among other things, at children and adolescents, particularly, we are talking about the Official World Cup Mascot, Wolf Zabivaka™. That is why this place suits our purposes well," Ana Brito said.

The store sells official footballs, T-shirts, backpacks, sports uniforms, stationery and various souvenirs with the World Cup branding.

The World Cup matches will be held in 11 Russian cities from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
