France President Emmanuel Macron to Visit 2018 World Cup final

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron will attend the final match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ to support the national team of their country. This was reported by AFP.

Team France reached the finals of the World Cup for the third time in history. The team will face the winner of the Croatia - England match at the Luzhniki Stadium on July 15.

This is the second visit of Emmanuel Macron to the 2018 World Cup. Previously he attended the semifinal France - Belgium match (1-0) in Saint Petersburg. The game was also attended by Belgian King Philipple and Queen Mathilde, as well as Prime Minister Charles Michel.

Some of the earlier 2018 World Cup™ matches were attended by President of Switzerland Alain Berset, President of Senegal Macky Sall, President of South Korea Moon Jae-in, President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, Princess Hisako Takamado of the Imperial House of Japan, and King Philippe of Belgium. The round of 16 match between Spain and Russia was played in the presence of King Philip VI of Spain. The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, declared  the start of the World Cup on June 14, addressing an audience of 20 heads of state.

There will be three more matches in the 2018 World Cup. On Wednesday, England and Croatia will play for the chance to advance to the final. The losing team will compete for third place with the Belgians at the Saint Petersburg Stadium on Saturday, and a day later the winner will play France in the final at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
