RPL: "New stadiums factor improved fans behavior"

2018 World Cup stadiums host home matches of six RPL clubs

The factor of new stadiums has improved the behavior of fans in the matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by the security director of the RPL Aleksandr Meitin.

Six Premier League clubs hold home matches at the stadiums which were hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia ™: Spartak, Zenit, Krylya Sovetov, Ural, Rostov and Rubin.

"This season we began to insult and swear less at each other; it's a good dynamic, clubs started working with fans, new arenas have become their home. At home, no one wants to misbehave," said Aleksandr Meitin. "Security is provided at almost all stadiums by stewards and private security companies, their numbers increased by 40 percent, and we improved our overall statistics due to this, no damage was caused to the stadiums in seven rounds, and the use of pyrotechnics decreased by 26.8 percent."
