Russia-2018 Organizing Committee: visa-free entry for fans to be trialled at 2017 Confederations Cup

Visa-free entry for football fans during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ will be trialled at the 2017 Confederations Cup, welcome2018.com was informed by Russia-2018 CEO Aleksey Sorokin.

"We do care about the football fans, that’s why we are giving them visa-free entry,” Sorokin said. “The visa-free entry system will be trialled during the Confederations Cup. We are going to organize free airport shuttles. We want to make getting around in Russian cities as easy as possible for the fans. The Confederations Cup is an enormous event. We are fully focused on the preparations.”

The games of the Confederations Cup will be coming to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi from June 17 to July 2, 2017.

The World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 15, 2018, at 12 arenas in 11 Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd and Samara.
