Samara will be decorated with the 2018 FIFA World Cup-themed graffiti, “Samara 2018” management told Welcome2018.com. The rough drafts for the images will be created during STREET-ART-FEST street culture festival, which will be held on August 12-14 on Kuybysheva square - the future site of the FIFA Fan Fest.

The festival will gather representatives of youth subcultures (street artists, fans of football freestyle and parkour) to express themselves and to engage residents and guests of Samara in the creative process. The festival program includes a graffiti contest, exhibition of competitive designs, children's playground, lecture about the history of street art, open-air classical music concert, fire show, street theater "Plasticine rain," body art show, parkour performances and capoeira dancers.

Parkour facilities, which will be set up in one of the parks on the Kuybysheva square, will become street artists’ canvases for the World Cup-themed graffiti. The jury and the residents of Samara will choose the best works, which will be painted on real city’s objects - the quay and housefronts.
