"Test matches will take place in March and May 2017 at the Fisht Stadium. It was already determined that Russia’s national team will play with one of the strongest European teams. And the first of the four Confederations Cup matches will take place as early as on June 19 next year," Doluda was quotes as saying by the region’s press service.
The Vice-Governor also added, that works on the stadium’s northern and southern stands have been finished, one of the two main screens has also been already installed and currently workers are installing the second one. Over 500 builders and 30 units of equipment are working on the stadium.
The FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 will take place from June 12 to July 2 in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi. Continental champions take part in this tournament, which is held one year before the World Up in the country-host of the championship.
The 2018 World Cup matches will be held between June 13 and July 15 at 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities.
