The hotel working on the premises of Kazan Arena will open its doors in early summer of 2016, according to the stadium’s General Director Radik Minnakhmetov.
“So far there are 12 rooms, but the number will be increased to 25,” he said. The room in the three-star hotel will cost from 4 to 8 thousand rubles per night.
Minnakhmetov noted that the hotel rooms are essentially “transforming skyboxes” located on the fifth floor of the east-side terrace. “We know the game schedule ahead of time, so we can transform the rooms into VIP skyboxes and back again. So the hotel won’t prevent spectators from enjoying the games, and it will provide lodging on off days. It’s about efficient use of the sporting facilities,” the spokesman noted.
According to Kazan Arena press service, Stadium Hotel will work 340 days in a year. It will not operate during World Cup 2018 match days.
