Three thousand foreigners use free passage between Confederations Cup host cities

During the Confederations Cup 2017 matches, 262 free-of-charge additional trains are working

Free rail service that runs between the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 host cities was used by 3017 foreign fans. This was reported by the ANO Transport Directorate 2018 media service.

During the matches of the Confederations Cup 262 free-of-charge additional railway trains are set up, which run between the four host cities. Free train tickets are provided to fans who have tickets for the matches of the Confederations Cup.

"Free trains have become a truly international mode of transportation - in any of them you can meet fans from 81 countries," Terenty Meshcheryakov, General Director of ANO Transport Directorate2018, said.

Free trains are most popular (accounting for more than 60% of all trips) with fans from Chile, Mexico, Ukraine, Belarus and Germany. The service was also used by fans from other countries such as Tanzania, Salvador, Anguilla, Brunei, Suriname.

The Confederations Cup matches are held in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi. The tournament will last until July 2.
