Vitaly Mutko: Russia has ambitious security concept for the 2018 World Cup

Vice Premier praised Russia's readiness for the Confederations Cup

Russia has an ambitious security concept in place on the eve of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the 2018 FIFA Word Cup Russia™. This was stated by the Local Organising Committee Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister of Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko.

"Security service, security headquarters and law enforcement agencies are all involved in our security concept for the Confederations Cup and the World Cup," Mutko said. "The security programme is quite ambitious."

Deputy Prime Minister stressed that he was of high opinion of the preparedness for the Confederations Cup. "We will inspect Kazan on April 13; there, as in Sochi, everything is ready. The first match at the new stadium in Saint Petersburg will be held on April 22. We hope that FIFA will have will find no issues with regards to our readiness for the tournament," said Mutko.

The Confederations Cup matches will be held from June 17 to July 2 in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi and Kazan.
