Dobroforum-2015 was held in St. Petersburg on November 20-21, dedicated to the development of the volunteer movement in Russia and discussing the best global practices. The forum brought together representatives of various regions of Russia and other countries to share their experience and develop joint strategies for the development of volunteer movement. A separate session was dedicated to the volunteer program of the 2018 FIFA World Cup FIFA in Russia.
The representatives of 15 volunteer centers for the 2018 World Cup, created in the host cities, came to St. Petersburg, as well as those responsible for the preparation of the volunteers. They discussed the issues of communication campaign to attract volunteers, the concept of city volunteers. The representatives of the Organizing Committee “Russia 2018”, as well as the representatives of Saransk, Kaliningrad and Ekaterinburg presented reports on these topics.
"We had a productive meeting with the directors of 15 volunteer centers of the Organizing Committee and people, responsible for the implementation of the program of city volunteers in the host cities,” Director of Volunteer Department of the Organizing Committee “Russia 2018»” Tatiana Gomzyakova said. “The first important step in implementing the volunteer program is conducting a communication campaign to attract volunteers in 2016. We also discussed the program of city volunteers presented, for example, in the concepts of Saransk, Kaliningrad and Ekaterinburg," she added.
The concept of the official opening of volunteer centers of the Organizing Committee "Russia 2018" was a separate topic of the meeting. The official opening is scheduled for December 10, 2015, on the International Football Day. Each of the 15 volunteer centers prepares festival program for all guests.
At the end of the forum, the participants visited St. Petersburg Volunteer Center for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and agreed on further objectives for the implementation of the volunteer program for the World Cup.
