The German delegation during the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 met unusual and very good people in Russia. This sentiment was stated after the final match by the head coach of Germany Joachim Löw.

"Thank you very much, Russia," Löw said. "I think you were good hosts; we played in different cities, at different stadiums, but everywhere the conditions were exceptional." The tournament was organised wonderfully, Russia is a very interesting country. We met various people here, unusual and very good. We all really liked it."

The German team won the Confederations Cup by defeating the Chileans in the final game with a score of 1 - 0. The Germans played at the tournament with a team comprised of young players, among whom there were only three world champions of 2014.

"Now we need to think about which of the 'old guys' we will take," Löw said with a smile. "Seriously, now we have an alternative in choosing the line-up, that was my goal. The priority was to develop young talents so that the youth had a chance to play at that level.I am proud of the team.We did not spend much time together, we learned something during the tournament, the guys deserved this victory, they had virtually no international experience, but they achieved their goal," said Löw.

The Confederations Cup was held from June 17 to July 2 in four Russian cities - Moscow, Kazan, Sochi and Saint Petersburg.
