Sviyazhsk History Museum

Formerly a complex of government institutions, built in 1838-1840, this is now a museum where one can find, among other exhibits, the reconstructed scaled model of the historical development plan for Sviyazhsk, copies of documents and photographs, archaeological finds, Sviyazhsk-inspired paintings, and scaled models of historical ships from the White-water Fleet Museum of the Volga National Academy of Inland Water Shipping. There is much information to be gleaned about Sviyazhsk saints and the Romanov Bridge across the Volga, built with much difficulty in 1913.
