Humo is the bird of happiness in Uzbek lore, and it is no accident that this restaurant is so named. Humo is a two-storey restaurant designed in a modern oriental style. It has a veranda with a nice view of the city. The restaurant stages DJ parties with dancing on Fridays and weekends. Sundays are reserved for children’s festivals and family dining. Humo styles itself as a Lounge Café and keeps up the appropriate atmosphere. People come to Humo, not just any place, to have a good time with family and friends. The prices are about average here: 420 rubles for pilaf, 310 rub. for kazy, 160 rub. for samosas, and 330 rub. for lagman. The meat entrees are huge – one is big enough for two. Humo takes 20% off on the whole menu all weekday afternoons, and gives patrons discounts on the dates of their birthdays.
