The Historical Square (Istoricheskiy Skwer) (Gorkogo St, 48)
The Historical Square (Istoricheskiy Skver) is located in the place where the Ekaterinburg metallurgical plant used to be. The locals often call it Plotinka ("the little Dam"), because it includes the famous Dam on the Iset River - the oldest city construction that used to generate electricity for the plant. The Iset River divides the square in two. The eastern part includes the museum area and the western part includes the memorial one. The former includes the Museum of Nature, the Ural Museum of Architectural History and Industrial Engineering and the Museum of Fine Arts. The memorial area of the square preserves the Ural rock samples. The Historical Square (Istoricheskiy Skver) is located not far from the Ploshchad 1905 Goda metro station, at the intersection of Prospekt Lenina, Ulitsa Gorkogo and Ulitsa Voevodina.
Address: the Historical Square (Istoricheskiy Skwer) (Gorkogo St, 48)
